Caring Kilsyth schoolgirl Caylie McKenzie has cleaned up the town for charity - and she's only seven!

A schoolgirl who has already bowled over locals with her caring work with animals despite her tender years has gone one step further and cleaned up Kilsyth for charity.

Caylie McKenzie who is just seven-years-old attends Kilsyth Primary decided she would do a sponsored litter pick.

Her mum Cheryl Kennedy explained: “This was done over a four weekends, her dad and I would take her to different areas within Kilsyth and even enrolled her friend Millie to help out a couple of times.

"She sorted litter into general waste and recycling items.

“Caylie raised a total of £701 and presented Starthcarron with the cheque on Friday April 7.”
