East Renfrewshire care company celebrates 25 years of success

Lynn set up HRM Homecare in 1994 from her living room and started with a team of one, branching out into home care after helping a neighbour in need of personal support.

Her research into care at home found many others needed similar care support and their needs were not always being met.

She now has 275 staff who have helped develop HRM Homecare into one of the largest care specialists providing home support to 680 vulnerable people across central and west Scotland.

As well as East Renfrewshire, HRM Homecare now provides care support in North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Falkirk, Clackmannanshire, South Ayrshire, East Ayrshire and Glasgow.

Lynn Laughland said: “When I set up HRM Homecare 25 years ago from scratch, at the time the hard work needed to establish it and make it a success meant I never envisaged spending a quarter of a century in this sector.

“But we have grown to become a business that is proud to serve the communities where we work. The past 25 years have brought many challenges, but also many achievements thanks to the dedication and hard work of my staff.

“We now look forward to the next 25, and will continue to do what HRM Homecare does best, helping and supporting those who need the right level of care to enable them to live as independently as possible within their own homes.”
