Glasgow Philharmonic Male Voice Choir brings music to Glasgow care homes

Glasgow Philharmonic Male Voice Choir knows how much music and singing together means to each of the 40 members.

The Choir are sharing their music in a novel way by sending copies of their DVD and CDs including ‘We Belong to Glasgow’ to all of Glasgow’s 77 care homes.

Musical Director William Barr said: “Our Spring and Christmas concerts were cancelled so we thought if our audiences can’t come to us, we can take our music to them.”

“We thought it would be a good way for people to enjoy music together safely and see familiar places as the DVD features some of Glasgow’s best-known landmarks.”

William explained the Choir won’t start rehearsals for their Spring Concert until January, but members are still practising at home to keep their voices in shape.
