Help still available to unpaid carers in East Renfrewshire
East Renfrewshire Carers Centre staff are continuing to provide information and registering carers to make sure they can be contacted when the time for their jab comes.
Mark Mulhern, Centre Manager said: “We are pleased that carers have been given a level of priority for the vaccine. Providing care for a loved one has been tremendously stressful for many carers and we would like to assure carers in East Renfrewshire that we are doing all we can to support them during this most difficult period.”

The funding has also meant the centre can provide more leisure events to give carers respite.
In partnership with the Health and Social Care Partnership the Centre is currently rolling out Carers Scotland’s digital resource and Jointly mobile app. This allows access to their excellent care management service.
It has achieved Carer Positive Exemplary status this month - having only been awarded the first and second levels in September and November, respectively. The Carers Centre is currently recruiting a BAME support worker to improve the services to minority communities after welcoming another member to the team last year to enhance communications, enlarging the team to 12 staff.
