This year, it will go online and the digital event with the stars will be streamed free globally. SBH Scotland hopes it will be the most watched Burns event in the world.

Viewers can expect all the trimmings of a traditional Burns evening. The Immortal Memory will be recited by Scottish stand-up comedian Bruce Fummey.

Funny-man and host of the event, Fred MacAulay, delivers the Toast to the Lassies. while the hilarious Janey Godley, who became a social media sensation after creating parody videos of First Minister Nicola Sturgeon during
lockdown, will give the reply.

Travis star Fran Healy will perform Auld Lang’s Syne, while Scottish Robert Burns re-enactor, Chris Tait, will recite Tam o’Shanter.

The virtual event, which has only been made possible through the support of Scottish businesses Grant’s
Haggis and Endura Cycle Apparel, will ask for donations through a silent auction and raffle.

Kevin said: “I’m very excited to be involved in SBH Scotland’s Virtual Burns Supper.

“Of course as lockdown continues, it makes it difficult to celebrate Robert Burns the same way we are used to.

“However, an online event is a fantastic way to come together and continue the celebrations safely, and have a bit of fun.”

The show will go live at 7pm on Monday, January 25 on the SBH Scotland Youtube site.
