Moira’s Run to take place this weekend in Queen’s Park

The next Moira’s Run, the annual 5k, will take place this year in Queen’s Park, Glasgow on Sunday, October 27.

The wonderful run commemorates Moira Jones, who was murdered in the park in May 2008.

It also gives many Glasgow people the opportunity to enjoy the lovely park in a fun and active event and, of course, it raises money to help those families devastated by the loss of a loved one in terrible circumstances.

The Moira Fund are hugely grateful to Violence Reduction Unit of Police Scotland who organise this event and for the many volunteers who assist them and all the wonderful folk who take part and make it so memorable.

With the aim of having 400 entrants this year, round up family, friends, neighbours or colleagues to ensure that again Moira’s Run is a huge success.

You can run, walk or dance around the course, you can dress up or down...All welcome.

Warm-up will start at 10.15am with the run scheduled for a 10.30am start. Race numbers and safety pins will be issued between 9am and 10am at race registration on the day of the event.

All runners will receive a medal, a goody bag and a bottle of water at the finish line.
