Motorcyclist dies after crash with lorry in Glasgow Southside

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a serious road crash in the Southside of Glasgow yesterday (Saturday, 29 August).

The incident happened around 10am on Parkhouse Road at the junction of Nitshill Road and involved a lorry and a motorbike.

Emergency services attended, however the motorcyclist, a 62-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed until 7pm while officers carried out their investigations.

Road Policing Sergeant Gemma Blackadder said: “We are supporting the man’s family at this incredibly difficult time.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward. I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage which could help with our investigation.”
