Plea to aid homeless moggies

The Scottish SPCA is appealing to animal lovers in East Dunbartonshire to donate much-needed wood pellet cat litter for felines in the care of their local Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Centre manager Judy Button said: “We are currently caring for a large number of cats. Although the centre has been closed to the public during lockdown due to coronavirus restrictions, our staff continue to care for the animals as normal.

“In 2020 we looked after 254 cats and we expect 2021 to be just as busy.

“Often the animals require veterinary treatment or rehabilitation when they first arrive meaning it could take several months of dedicated care before an animal is ready to find their forever home.”

Wood pellet cat litter can be dropped in to the Scottish SPCA Dunbartonshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre on Dumbarton Road, Milton G82 2UA. Or items can be ordered via any retailer offering online delivery or purchased from Amazon wishlist: http://amzn.to/2HZbRhL
