TV presenter Jenni shares Milngavie memories

Well-known TV presenter Jenni Falconer is sharing her memories of Milngavie in the latest episode of a special 
podcast featuring inspirational businesswomen.

The podcast “Ask For More” is hosted by Bearsden-born producer and former STV news presenter Zara Janjua, who is also a comedian and women’s rights advocate.

In the latest episode, out this week, Jenni, who appears regularly on ITV daytime show This Morning and is also a radio presenter, will feature, along with handbag designer Sarah Haran.

Zara said: “We will be chatting about Jenni’s connection to Milngavie.”

Jenni spent her formative years in Milngavie before moving to the south of England with her family. She made her television debut in 1994 as a contestant on Blind Date.

Zara added: “I myself grew up in Bearsden and was a former pupil of Bearsden Academy. My parents still live there so I am home often to see them.”

Each episode of “Ask For More” highlights key issues affecting women in life and in business, focussing on topics from ‘resilience’ and ‘philanthropy’ to ‘profile’. It aims to motivate and inspire listeners to be ambitious and achieve their goals.

Zara said: “The best way to get motivated is to surround yourself with positive voices and to hear from people who have fulfilled their dreams. The more success is enforced, the more realistic it becomes.”

The 34-year-old ‘multi-hyphen’ presenter-producer-writer-comedian added: “This podcast offers a platform to share our experiences and speak honestly about our successes and our failures.

“Women are engineering a new future to better fit the shape of our lives. We are a nation of independent thinkers and it is time to regroup and navigate this world together.”

Other episodes features tennis matriarch Judy Murray and CSR champion Diana Borland, along with Radio Scotland presenter Kaye Adams and BBC comedy star Ashley Storrie.
