Police appeal after serious road crash in North Glasgow

Police are appealing for information after a serious road crash in North Glasgow.

It happened on Royston Road around 4.15pm on Monday, 22 February and involved grey Ford Kuga and a white Honda CB650 motorcycle at the junction to the entrance of the British Car Auctions premises.

Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a 62-year-old man, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford Kuga, a 46-year-old man, was uninjured.

To allow for investigations to be carried out the road was closed for around five hours, and reopened at 9pm.

Sergeant Kenny Malaney of the Glasgow Road Policing Unit said: “Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, and has not already spoken to police to contact us.

“We are also appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and recording via a dashcam device to please check for any relevant footage which could help our investigation.”
