He was wearing green coloured ‘army style’ trousers and brown leather boots when he was last seen.

Sergeant Andy Hastie of Lanark Police Office said today: “Despite extensive enquiries and searches carried out since John Campbell was reported missing to police, there has been no further sightings of him and he has not been in contact with his family.

“The last known sighting of John Campbell was at the Post Office in Gracebanking in Annan on August 15.

“Mr Campbell has been missing before and likes his own company.

“He is known to enjoy outdoor activities and does sometimes go off camping for a number of weeks.”

He was also known to spend time in the Fort William, Annan, Moffat and Dumfries areas.

“As the family has not had any contact with Mr Campbell for a number of months now, they are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety and wellbeing,” said Sergeant Hastie.
