Police catch teenager trying to buy booze with fake ID and two 14-year-olds caught with alcohol

A YOUNGSTER has been charged with attempting to buy alcohol with another person’s ID.

Police swooped on the 17-year-old at around 5.50pm on Friday, September 28, in Auchinairn Road, Bishopbriggs.

In a separate incident, teenagers were allegedly caught drinking in public at the weekend.

The 14-year-olds were charged by police at around 5.30pm on Saturday, September 29, in Torr Road, Bishopbriggs.

Meanwhile, a man has been charged with possession of drugs in a village centre.

The 29-year-old was allegedly caught with cannabis in Main Street, Twechar, at around 1.50pm on Friday, September 28.
