Police in chase drama at Cumbernauld

At around 10pm last Monday several police cars, a police van, an officer with a sniffer dog and between six to ten local officers were seen between Spruce Road and Ash Road as they searched for the suspect, believed to have been involved in an attempted break-in or disturbance at the industrial estate.

Police had chased the man from the park through to Abronhill.

A spokesperson from Cumbernauld police confirmed that although the man they were hunting managed to escape their clutches, no damage was reported at the industrial estate as a result of his intrusion after the security guard spooked him into fleeing the scene.
