Police investigating a spate of thefts in Milngavie and Bearsden at the weekend

The police are investigating a spate of thefts in Milngavie and Bearsden yesterday (Sunday, October 25) and they would be keen to hear from anyone who can help by providing information.

Thieves forced a rear door open to steal an ipad worth £260, an ipod touch worth £190 and money from the till amounting to £1,420 plus two bottles of vodka, from cafe and music venue Meet Me @ The Corner in Milngavie Precinct on Sunday, October 25 some time after 6.30pm.

The Precinct Café in Baljaffray shopping centre was also broken into between 4pm on Sunday, October 25 and 7.30am the following day. The rear door was forced open and £200 was taken.

Cafe Alba in Milngavie Precinct also had £1,020 stolen from their premises.

Thieves also forced open a rear door at the Lifestyle shop in Baljaffray Shopping Centre, Bearsden and took approximately £1,000 from the till some time during the night on Sunday, October 25.

And two mountain bikes were stolen from the basement of a property on Roman Drive, Bearsden between Thursday, October 22 and Sunday, October 25.

They were: a male mountain bike, Giant Roam 4, a 19” frame, dark silver with white writing and bracket for child’s seat, worth £250.

And a female mountain bike, Cube Access, 17” frame, black with lime green and white pattern, worth £500.
