Police on horseback in Carluke and Lanark

IN an extra allocation of police resources, four officers on horseback patrolled the streets of Carluke last Tuesday and Wednesday.

And Clydesdale Chief Inspector Colin Murphy explained that a similar operation was in place in Lanark on Wednesday and Thursday.

Colin said: “A number of weeks ago at our monthly police meeting I asked for additional mounted patrols in the Carluke area for a couple of weeks.”
