Police wish to trace man to help with investigation

Detectives have released an image of a man police would like to speak to as part of an ongoing investigation into an indecency offence on Thursday, November 23 2017.

At around 8.30pm a man approached a 16 year-old girl on Crookston Road, Glasgow. He tried to engage in conversation before assaulting her.

Officers have been speaking to people in the area as well as checking CCTV and are now releasing an image of a man who may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

He is described as white, between the ages of 19-25 and 5 ft. 9 of slim build. He had light brown hair which was gelled back with shaved sides and was wearing a black parka jacket with light and dark brown fur round the hood, dark trousers and carrying a black bag with green writing on it from Foot Asylum.

Police Constable Gareth Baker, who is leading on the investigation, said: “Thankfully the 16 year-old girl was unharmed, however she has been left shaken by the ordeal.

“It is vital that we trace the person responsible and would encourage anyone who knows the man in the image to come forward. We believe he may be able to assist us.

“If anybody has any other information that may help us in our investigation we would also ask you to contact us.”
