The incident happened last Thursday at 10.20am when a 41-year-old man entered Glenhove Stores in Glenhove Road in Carbrain.

Two men followed him into the shop and subjected him to a serious assault. Both attackers then fled in the direction of Millcroft Road.

The two suspects are both described as white. One was wearing a dark coloured jacket and the other was wearing a red and black ski jacket.

Both men were wearing dark hats and also concealed their faces with dark scarves.

One of the men is described as being of medium build and the other is described as stocky.
