Brexit: Revoke Article 50 Petition signed by one in 10 East Renfrewshire constituents

One in 10 constituents in East Renfrewshire have signed a petition calling on the UK Government to cancel Brexit.

In the East Renfrewshire constituency of Conservative MP Paul Masterton, more then 9200 people have signed the The Revoke Article 50 Petition. The area has 92,380 constituents.

The petition has today (Saturday, March 23) become the most popular to be submitted to the Parliament website with more than 4.4 million signatures, going ahead of the previous best, a 2016 petition calling for a second EU referendum.

By contrast, a pro-Brexit petition on the Parliament website which urges the Government to leave the EU without a deal has received just 455,000 signatories.
