Changes to East Renfrewshire Council’s bin collections

East Renfewshire Council will further improve its kerbside bin collections next month with the reinstatement of blue bin collections.

The first collections of blue bins – paper and cardboard – will be in the week beginning Monday, June 22.

The Council is able to reinstate these collections because staffing levels have increased.

Here is how the updated weekly collection cycle will work for June:

• W/C Mon 1 June – grey (non-recyclable) bin collection on your normal collection day.

• W/C Mon 8 June – grey (non-recyclable) bin collection on your normal collection day.

• W/C Mon 15 June – green (plastic, cans and bottles) and brown (garden and food) bin collections on your normal collection day.

• W/C Mon 22 June – blue (paper and cardboard) and on your normal collection day.

• W/C Mon 29 June – grey (non-recyclable) bin collection on your normal collection day.

Once blue bin collections resume w/c 22 June, it will return to the three week recycling cycle (excluding brown bins which will be collected with green bins).
