Biggar resident Robin gave his passionate views on why Scotland should say ‘Yes’ to a 420-strong audience at the Carluke and Lanark Gazette’s Scottish Independence Debate at Lanark Memorial Hall on Monday, May 26.

“We have a low paid workforce, half of which earn less than £21,000, yet we work the third longest hours in the developed world.

“We have suffered many years of ‘Me First’ politics and we have come second. So vote ‘Yes’ on September 18.”
