New members of Scottish Youth Parliament elected

North Lanarkshire's newest Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament have been elected.

The elections, where anyone aged 12-25 may vote for their representatives, saw the winning candidates clinch over 9,000 votes between them. Cumbernauld and Kilsyth will be represented by Jamie McDairmid and Mark Stewart.

Youth work development officer Amy Reynolds said: “I am really looking forward to working with the newly elected MSYPs.”
