The council consultation, which will run until Friday, May 26, is part of an on-going review of all the waiting and loading restrictions currently in force throughout East Renfrewshire.

Proposals for Newton Mearns include new restrictions around schools and on bus routes, as well as other restrictions on and around Harvie Avenue, Maple Avenue and The Loaning. The removal of clearway restrictions on Ayr Road is also being suggested.

In Williamwood and South Giffnock the plans being put forward include amendments and removals of current restrictions and some new restrictions in the vicinity of Davieland Road, Seres Road, Lothian Drive, Dorian Drive and around the Eastwood Toll area.

Residents are being encouraged to share their views on the plans, which will allow final proposals to be developed before being presented to residents as part of a consultation.
