It has already been awarded five stars by tourist organisation Visit Scotland, being given the highest grading in all departments from display to the shop.

Now, in the icing on the cake, HRH Princess Anne will formally open the £2.2million community project museum, in Biggar High Street, this Friday afternoon. The museum will be closed to the public all day for the royal visit, but the princess will be unveiling a plaque to mark the official opening.
