£100K awarded to Up For It?

A WHOPPING £100,000 has been awarded to local group Up for It?, which offers underprivileged adults free services including comprehensive health checks, health coaching and stress counselling.

The group also helps with training and employment opportunities and alcohol support.

Project manager Susan McMorrin was ecstatic that Up for It? was the only group in Scotland to be awarded the maximum 100,000 payout from the Scottish Government's Third Sector Resilience Fund.

She said: "We are absolutely delighted to have secured the funding.

"We knew there were a huge number of applications to the Resilience Fund so we weren't too hopeful of getting a massive donation.

"So we were over the moon when we found out about the 100,000."
