The Affordable Housing Supply Programme (AHSP) was unveiled by the Scottish Government last week and sets aside subsidies of £582million for housing across Scotland - including £11,073,000 for East Dunbartonshire.

Housing Minister Keith Brown said: “Housing is and will remain a priority for this government and we will continue to invest in new affordable homes. This is a substantial funding boost that will support house building in East Dunbartonshire.”

He added the council would “identify the developments that will be taken forward utilising the remaining £2.684m by the end of June 2012”.
