£700k worth of drugs after police raid North Glasgow home

ILLEGAL drugs worth almost three quarters of a million pounds have been seized by police.

Officers, acting under warrant, uncovered the drugs during a raid at a property in Viewpoint Place, in Balgrayhill.

The seized drugs, which include heroin, cocaine and cannabis, are estimated to have a street value of £704,000.

The raid took place around 8pm on Wednesday, July 25.

Strathclyde Police say two men, aged 26 and 28, and a woman, aged 33, have now been arrested in connection with the seizure.

Chief Inspector Simon Midgley said: “This is a significant seizure and shows how resolute our determination is to rid our communities of serious and organised crime.”

Chief Inspector Midgley added: “This remains a high priority for us.

“We will continue to keep people safe by targeting those who are involved in the supply of illegal drugs.”
