Publicans: Switch on to TV licence

A campaign has been launched to ensure pubs and clubs in East Dunbartonshire are on the ball when it comes to TV '¨licensing for live matches.

Pubs without a valid licence are breaking the law and run the risk of a court prosecution and fine of up to £1,000 per offence plus costs.

The Scottish Beer and Pub Association (SBPA) is launching the campaign in partnership with TV Licensing, as the new Scottish football season is about to kick-off.

There are 115 pubs and clubs in East Dunbartonshire and many can benefit from offering football fans the chance to watch live match coverage.
