Allan Mason acted on instinct when he heard a shriek from behind him as he filled up his car - and turned to see a man who had been run over by his own vehicle.
Quick-thinking Allan also managed to stop the runaway car from hitting the main road which could have caused a huge accident, and stayed with the injured man while he waited on the paramedic team to arrive at the scene.

Added Allan: “I left when the paramedics got there - I didn’t even get his name.”
