Regular Glasgow East End bingo player wins £50,000 jackpot at the Forge
The anonymous winner has been playing bingo at the East End venue for three decades.
A Glaswegian bingo player has won an amazing £50,000 at Mecca Bingo this month.
The lucky player scooped the jackpot on 16th April playing on the National Bingo Game. The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, is known to be a regular customer at the venue on Duke Street and has been playing with their family since the club opened, 30 years ago.
The fabulous £50k jackpot is triggered when a player matches all the numbers on their ticket and claims ‘house’ within the first 16 numbers being called.
“The atmosphere in club was amazing, with all the customers clapping and cheering. The winner was shocked but very excited about the win,” said Mecca’s Sharon Kennedy, who was the duty manager on the night. “We’re always thrilled for our winners but the £50k National Bingo Game jackpot is a real cause for celebration!”
It’s thought that the lucky winner plans to celebrate the windfall with a holiday.
