Research project in Cuba for Angela Crosby of Roberton

FORMER Biggar High pupil Angela Crosby is set to swap Clydesdale for Cuba for the summer as part of an exciting university project.

Angela (18), who is studying Biology at Dundee University, is due to take part in conservation work in the Caribbean country during the summer as part of international collaboration between university research departments.

The main project work is to develop base data for measuring potential environmental changes in a nature reserve.

She will also be completing a full Caribbean reef ecology course with lectures and dive based practicals that aim to teach students about tropical marine ecosystems, as well as learning to identify fish and coral.
