The event has been a runaway success since it started, typically attracting crowds of over 10,000 to the village - for a gala-style event which acts as a showcase for everything that’s great about vintage motors at their finest.

This year the organisers say that far from being content with what’s already become an established Eastwood success story they’ve every intention of making the 2017 spectacular even bigger and better than previous efforts.

So while there’s no compelling need to attract a larger than usual field of entries this week’s alert from Giffnock BID is a useful prompt for local owners of truly special vehicles to consider taking part.

The picture shown here shows just one of the more eyecatching cars entered in the 2015 event, and is typical of the pzazz visitors and local residents can expect to see when the show comes to Fenwick Road on September 2.
