Reward offered to help catch ‘chameleon’ con artist

A crime-fighting charity is offering a reward of up to £2000 for information which leads to the arrest of a chameleon-like con artist.

Pauline Flett (31), who has been known to use the alias Pauline Campbell, is wanted in connection with a string of crimes across Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Central Belt and the north of Scotland.

Between October 2006 and March 2015 Flett, originally from Buckie, is alleged to have defrauded individuals of large sums of cash and other items.

Flett, who has a distinctive bat tattoo on her left arm, is believed to avoid detection by altering her appearance and travelling around Scotland. She has resided in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Grampian.

Crimestoppers is now offering a reward in the hope that she will finally be brought to justice.

Angela Parker, national manager for Crimestoppers Scotland, said: “Flett is believed to be involved in a number of crimes that have seen innocent victims scammed out of large sums of money.

“These victims deserve justice and it is vital that Flett is found to ensure that she cannot strike again.

“There are people out there who know where she is and I would urge you to do the right thing and contact Crimestoppers anonymously.

“We don’t take personal details, we can’t trace calls or information given online. No-one will ever know you contacted us. We don’t want to know who you are, just what you know.”

Flett is described as around 5ft 6, of medium build with blonde hair.
