Rouken Glen cafe back after year on the sidelines
The Boathouse cafe opened its doors to the public on Monday, and East Renfrewshire council leader Jim Fletcher was one of the first customers to sample a coffee served up by new tenent Colin Hopkins.
Giffnock resident Colin (45) has over 25 years experience in the catering industry
Councillor Fletcher commented: “Its good to see a cafe at the pondside again and judging by the number of people enjoying a cup of coffee and having a bite to eat when I popped in to welcome Colin and his staff, I am sure the new business will be a success .”
The cafe will open seven days a week, 9am-8pm.
