Royal Mail suspend employee in probe
LOCALS have been denied vital supplies of mail – because it has been deliberately withheld from them.
The Royal Mail Depot in South Muirhead Road has been rocked by claims that an employee failed to provide this crucial service.
We understand that the individual has been suspended.
Last week red-faced Royal Mail bosses were forced to deliver a very different sort of correspondence to locals – stating why letters had failed to arrive at local addresses.

Hide AdA spokeswoman from Royal Mail said: “Royal Mail can confirm an employee from the Cumbernauld Delivery Office has been suspended as part of an investigation into the intentional delay of mail.
“The delayed mail is being delivered with a covering letter. We apologise to any customer whose mail has been affected.”
