Rural grant meeting will spell out how funds can be used

Ways of boosting funding for rural development in communities such as Balmore will be explained at a meeting in Kilsyth on Thursday.

To be held in the town’s Colzium House (5.30pm to 8.30pm) the event will give groups aiming to acquire funds the chance to discuss ideas with Local Action Group members.

A main aim is to improve the links between community, heritage and employment, and up for grabs under the scheme are grants ranging from £5,000 to £125,000. Areas of activity include heritage, tourism and leisure; community services and facilities, and local business and employment.
