Santa visits Carluke on Christmas Eve

DESPITE the sub zero temperatures that covered the whole of Clydesdale on Christmas Eve a healthy crowd packed Carluke's Market Square for the annual carol service.

With the temperatures getting down as low as minus nine it was left up to the singers from Carluke Opera to help warm the hearts of the audience by performing a range of Christmas carols and songs.

And the kids that were present got an extra special treat as Santa managed to find time in his busy Christmas Eve schedule to hand out presents to those who were there.
