School of Sport kids meet local swim hero
Olympic and Commonwealth Games silver medallist Michael Jamieson returned to Glasgow School of Sport to say thank you to staff who played a crucial role in his success.
The swimmer, who was the school’s first ever Olympic medal winner, is hoping to inspire some of Scotland’s most promising young athletes as they look forward to the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
He said: “I really enjoyed my time here, the staff were terrific.
“It gave me a great head start in teaching me life skills that I still use today as a professional athlete.”
