Scotland St hosts artist’s ‘homecoming’

Alexander Miller began drawing small charcoal figures to help ignite memories for his father who had Parkinson’s disease.The artist found his vocation late in life after losing his job and a difficult divorce; life was at an intolerable low. The story goes that, within little over half an hour of his first public exhibition, as he puts it: “The walls were covered in red [‘sold’] dots.” Since 2003, he has been an elite artist with the prestigeous Washington Green Fine Art. Miller’s latest works are on public display at Scotland Street Museum until Hogmanay, December 31.
