Glasgow City Council approves £100m Wheatley Group development for North Glasgow
The £100m development will include 401 new homes, a community centre and green spaces, with work expected to start in mid 2027.
A £100m deal to transform a North Glasgow neighbourhood has officially been given the go-ahead.

Glasgow City Council’s planning committee has today approved Wheatley Group's planning application for 401 new homes in the Wyndford.
The new development will consist of 343 properties for social rent and 58 for mid-market rent.

These will be energy-efficient homes with a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom flats, including wheelchair accessible, as well as three and four-bedroom houses.
Proposals also include a new, purpose-built, two-storey community centre with a café, bookable rooms and more.
To complete the regeneration of the area, new green spaces are planned, including a playpark, landscaping, seating and active travel routes across the River Kelvin.
The work is supported through grant funding from the council and the Scottish Government.
A separate planning application is also live for a football pitch.
Last year, four outdated and unpopular multi-storey buildings were demolished at 120, 151, 171 and 191 Wyndford Road, to make way for the new development.
Artist impressions show what the new neighbourhood will look like – with work expected to start in mid 2027.
Lindsay Lauder, Wheatley’s Director of Development and Regeneration, said: “We are happy to be able to move forward with our exciting plans for the Wyndford area.
“We are not only building homes but helping to create a community that people are proud to live in.
“We will continue to engage with our tenant-led Wyndford Futures Focus Group on the next steps of the regeneration.”
