Search of Robroyston Park in bid to trace missing mum Kirsty

They will meet at the park at 5pm, which is near her home at Brookfield Estate.

Last night, friends were searching streets and parks in Auchinairn, Bishopbriggs, Robroyston and Springburn. Signed videos have been posted on Facebook and Snapchat to further spread the word amongst the community in Scotland.

Missing posters have been put up on lampposts and at bus stops throughout the area.

A friend posted on Facebook: “We can’t leave a stone unturned ... lets find her and bring her home, her kids and family want their Mum back.”

Meanwhile police, who are becomingly increasingly concerned for Kirsty’s safety, hope a video appeal in sign language will help find the 30-year-old.

She has not been seen since she left Campus bar in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow at 3am on Sunday and has not been in contact with friends or family.

She had been on a night out with friends and police say her disappearance is “completely out of character”.

The vulnerable young mum-of-four, who can only communicate in sign language, is described as white, 5ft, slim and with long dark-coloured hair.

She was last seen wearing a black top, cream skirt and black sandals.

Detectives hope the video appeal will encourage more people from the deaf community to come forward.

Charities for deaf people have expressed concern that as Kirsty’s speech is minimal, it will be difficult for her to tell someone she is in need of help.

Inspector Leigh McManus, from Greater Glasgow division said: “Kirsty hasn’t been missing before and it is completely out of character for her not to keep in contact with her family and friends.

“Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace her and I would ask anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact Shettleston police office throught the non-emergency number 101.”
