Security warning from police

Police have issued a warning to householders to be extra vigilant when it comes to security after a number of break-ins.

A house in Moodiesburn was broken into between midnight and 4am on Friday, June 21.

Crooks gained entry to the home in Dunellan Drive through a rear door.

They stole a number of items including a purse, a laptop and an iPad. A three-figure sum of cash was also stolen.

Meanwhile, a number of items were stolen from a computer company in Kilsyth’s Main Street sometime between 3am and 9am on Friday, June 21.

The haul taken included keyboards, hard drives, a mobile phone and a two figure sum of cash.
