Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day people traditionally remember all those who gave their lives for the peace and freedom.

People across the nation pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave Service men and women.

The second main service will take place at the Cenotaph, Duchess of Hamilton Park, Motherwell.

This service will be at 3pm with other local events being held at towns and villages across North Lanarkshire.

Provost Jim Robertson said: “I would encourage as many people as possible to come along and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.”
