Shadows of our Ancestors at New Lanark

NEW Lanark World Heritage Site is the venue on Monday, April 18, for a performance of poems and short stories by around 20 P5 Lanark Primary pupils.

Some of the performing youngsters will be dressed as historical figures from New Lanark, including former Mills owner Robert Owen (1771-1858), the Welsh social reformer who was a founder of socialism and the cooperative movement.

The event has been organised through Shadows of our Ancestors, an exciting new project for 2011 with the aim of highlighting the international significance of Scotland’s five World Heritage Sites
