Milngavie SNP Councillor Jim Gibbons told the Herald police were warning people to stay away from the dangerous building.

He added: “I am so glad that I have not had any reports of injuries, but members of the public should give the building a wide berth.”

Both the owners of the pub which is closed and boarded up, and East Dunbartonshire Council, were contacted about the incident.
