Silver Bell race ticket offer

The course says that few have so far come forward to claim their right, as citizens of the historic trophy's home town, to get two tickets for the meeting for the price of one (13).

The offer is available to up to 200 residents of Lanark, in postcode ML11, who can reserve tickets and make a saving by contacting the racecourse in advance. But only a handful have so far taken advantage.

Those who wish to take up the offer (maximum buy two, get four per household) should contact Hamilton Park in writing or by phone on 01698 283806.

Vivien Kyles, Chief Executive of Hamilton Park Racecourse, said: "We are delighted to provide this special offer to Lanarkians who book in advance and we are really keen to remind them so no-one misses out."

The Lanark Silver Bell Race Night is one of the most prestigious of Hamilton Park's season with the Bell race alone being worth 35,000 in prize money.

There will be six races on the night — first race is at 6.45pm — with the Lanark Silver Bell race starting at 8.05pm.
