Southside shopping centre Silverburn is pushing Team Scotland to go for gold at the Commonwealth Games.

One of Scotlandâ¬"s top malls, Silverburn, is getting right behind Team Scotland this summer by renaming itself as Goldburn for the duration of the Commonwealth Games.
The golden makeover will not only see the mallâ¬"s central signage changed, but it will also extend to internal signage, its website and social media.

The mall is showing its support for the nation’s athletes by changing its name to Golburn for the duration of the Games, putting up new signage and updating its website and social media pages.

General manager David Pierotti said: “Our homegrown athletes aren’t going for silver — they’re going for gold, and we wanted to get behind them to show our support with a grand gesture.”

Shoppers will benefit too, as anyone who tweets a picture of the rebranded entrance, tagging @shopsilverburn and #Goldburn, can show it to the service desk in exchange for a lucky gift card with values from £5 to £250 — so get snapping.
