Slimming World groups support local foodbanks

The two groups at Eastwood Parish Church Hall donated to The Auldhouse Community Church foodbank. Don Palmer came along and shared details of the fabulous work they do in the community and collected the donation.

The group at The Carswell Centre in Eagleshams donated to The Foodbank in Barrhead.

All month they have been collecting non-perishable foods as well as items for personal care and these will be distributed to families in need in the local area.

Weight loss Consultant Lesley Clark organised the collections and says she is so proud of all her members in the Eastwood and Eaglesham Slimming World groups for their efforts.

She continued: “We had talked about doing something for local community and everyone was on board with the idea. They showed just what can be done when we come together – in terms of achieving something amazing for a great cause. I’m sure my members will inspire more people to get involved in their community.”
