Soak the jannie proves big attraction at Carluke St Athanasius’ fun day
PUPILS and parents enjoyed the recent St Athanasius family fun day – with one exception.School janitor Sam Knox took part in the ‘soak the jannie’ contest and was left suffering as pupil after pupil tried to dunk him.
St Aths’ PTA chairwoman Janis McBride said: “Soak the jannie was a particular favourite on the day. Pupils were lining up to have a try.
“He was well and truly soaked by the end of the day.
“I think he must have had a cold coming by the end of the day.”
