Some like it hot

AROUND 30 people underwent trial by fire on Friday night, and raised thousands for Cancer Research.

Members of Pinpoint Fitcamp and staff at Tesco Craigmarloch, which was the venue for the charity stunt, took turns to put mind over matter and hot-foot it over a bed of coals.

With them was Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East MP Gregg McClymont who also completed the challenge unharmed, raising £300 for charity and saving taxpayers the cost of a by-election.

The participants were given a pep talk to prepare them for the big walk, on embers burning at temperaturees of between 700 and 1100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The event was organised by Tesco Craigmarloch community champion Doreen Reid, who did the walk along with more than 20 store colleagues.
