Southside beauty highlights kids charity work

A SOUTHSIDE belle is hoping that by taking part in a beauty pageant she can raise awareness of a good cause.

Stunning Danielle Ward has already made it to the final eight of the Miss West End pageant in May of this year.

But the Danielle noticed one for the Make A Wish Foundation, which tries to provide special treats for kids with life-threatening medical conditions, and decided to enter that.

The Thornliebank beauty told The Extra: “This is a really amazing charity, specialising in making dreams come true for children who are terminally ill and disabled.

“The charity is really close to my heart as I believe every child should have good memories to look back on.”

Beauty therapist Danielle added: “I would also like to changes people’s opinions on pageants as people can be very narrow-minded and think it’s all about big dresses and pouting down a catwalk when it’s really not.

“These pageants are full of hard-working young ladies from all walks of life.”

The pageant final is on April 3 next year.

We wish Danielle the very best of luck.
